Clint's 2011 Investment Guide

Here are my three favorite places to put money in 2011.

I look for common-sense, little to no-risk ways to protect against inflation, and ride current medium-range trends. Being a young, not-rich person, I also look for things easily accessible to everyone at low costs of entry. ***DISCLAIMER*** I am not an investment professional. Please invest at your own risk in whatever you want.

1) Silver- Once again I'm recommending BUY SILVER. I recommended it last year and it about doubled in price in 2010. We saw recent highs over $31, and as of this writing we've had a slight pullback to $28.50, so buy every time you see a little dip. Also, buy every time you can get silver below spot price for an "instant equity" effect. It's volatile, so make incremental purchases when able, especially on dips, and you will come out ahead in this long-term bull market. I predict we'll see at least $45 in 2011, and very possibly $50+. I recommend "Junk Silver" as the best way to get the most ounces per dollar invested, in an easily tradeable, recognizeable form.

2) Nickels- Yes you heard that right. Take a decent percentage of your emergency cash fund to the bank, and have them give you rolls of nickels. I predict 2011 may be the last opportunity to get the US Nickel in its current composition (75% copper 25% nickel) for the bargain price of only 5 cents! The Nickel has a melt value of around 7 cents (don't melt it though, that's illegal), and costs the government about 10 cents each to mint and distribute them. I believe 2011 or 2012 will be the 1965 of our silver coins, or the 1983 of the old copper penny. What was pocket change in 1964 now sells over 20 times its face value after it left circulation. Current nickels will be pulled from circulation when the new nickel is announced, and then it will be quickly impossible to obtain them for 5 cents. You'll have an almost instant doubling of your money for every roll of nickels you put away. Another plus is there is no risk to this strategy. If we don't change the nickel, and you need cash, just switch them back to paper as needed.

3) Imported Surplus Guns and Ammo- prices have become reasonable again, half of what they were in 2009, and it's time to buy! The communist bloc imported guns of today are the opportunity for our generation like our parents had with surplus U.S. weapons that were formerly plentiful and cheap after WWII, but are now rare, collectible, and very expensive. I recommend looking for numbers matching, good condition Mosin-Nagants (under $100), SKS's (under $300), AK-47's (under $400) and AK-74's as well as bulk imported surplus ammo in 7.62x54R, 7.62x39, and 5.45x39 and corresponding com-bloc steel magazines ($10 or less each) for the AK series'. All of these are great shooters as well if you'd like to actually use your investments for fun on the range, hunting, or running off an MS-13 gang from your front lawn. Can't do that with a mutual fund! ***DISCLAIMER*** Remember to follow all your local gun laws.

Have a prosperous new year!
